Worst rental experience ever
Rent a car in Capetown for 4 weeks, travelling to Nambia and Botswana, Jburg.
At the day 7 a blow-out tire with damage on the car. Tried to call the Hertz office, no respons. Mail no respons.
Fixed the damage and after that still 2 other flat wheels wich we repared.
Total coast about E300,00.
At the airport the told us no problem, we charge your deposit now, but after sending the bills we will pay you the cost of the wheels back.
i claimed in august. Till december no answer. After that Hertz send the mail from the one to onother so no clue who is helping you.
Now 8 months later after many mails finally get an answer from a nobody, because the mail is not signed by name. The message is short. "Hertz does not have to pay you anything."
The service of Hertz SA, the respect for a customer, the communication, its all very bad and unprofessional.
If you rent a Hertz car SA be aware that if youre in trouble, you stay in trouble and they willdo nothing to help you as custumor
Beware of Hertz Car Rental in Johannasburg
2 months after Rental Hertz charged my credit card for $2000 of damage with no supporting documentation. And charged claim admin fees and assessor fees multiple times with the 3rd time 4 months after the car was returned. They provide cars with bad tires and then exploit their customers.
