Poor customer & deceitful
This was my first time using Sixt and it will be my last. Primarily because of the poor customer service. I rented in St. Maarten Juliana airport location. Online when I booked they showed a variety of car choices such as Toyota but on arrival they stated they did not have those type of cars in St Maarten. Hyundai cars were their predominant car. They had one Nissan Versa that they were able to put me in. Then I rented a GPS. It was very old and could not find any of the addresses we entered. The supervisor Allison, informed me disdain that the GPS does not take you to exact addresses only areas. After all it is not a North American GPS! Are u kidding? I returned it and am waiting for the credit. Then I took the insurance from them. After thinking about it I decided it was not a good choice as there was a thousand deductible. Allison supervisor response to me requesting to have it removed from the rest of my contract was, "absolutely not!" Needless to say the conversation was very unproductive from there. If I wanted to have it removed for the remainder of the contract, I would have to cancel my existing contract and enter into a new contract that would cost approx 60.00 more. I ended up keeping the insurance. I left very upset. When I returned the car at the end of my trip I asked for the revised bill with the GPS removed. I was told only Allison could provide the adjusted bill. I provided my e-mail and to date have not received it. The rudeness, rolling of eyes, talking on a personal cell phone while serving me and eating were also some of the inappropriate behaviours I experienced while dealing with this company. Not to mention the states from the other employees. The best service I had was from the gentleman who drove me to the airport.
