Dollar, Tangier airport: VERY POOR SERVICE
I have rented a car for 11 days from Tangier- Airport (Contract #0010885) and experienced a couple of challenges:
- Few days after picking up the car, was stopped by the police who found out that the car lights were not compatible (One lamp failed to work) and, thus, issued a fine of MAD 300.
- Customer service: Had to wait almost 2 hours to get my cash deposit in Euros when dropping off the car. The man in charge was away and the money was kept with him (in his pockets!!). I cannot describe how frustrated I was as my flight was about to depart and I made it in-extremis. It was really an uncomfortable way to leave Morocco at the start of a long journey ahead.
- The car was dirty. A lot of dust and even found an empty large plastic bottle inside the car. This also tells me why the car was not prepared and checked before being handed over to the next customer (Raises questionable practices and a clear safety concern).

Had a problem with an error light and some unusual sounds, which was fixed by switching to a new car. Otherwise seems good 1 month after rental car return. Correctly charged amount to credit card and authorization refunded.
Both cars were reasonably clean and experienced no major problems. Car is normally empty/empty with fuel rather than renting/returning with a full/full tank. Cars often come with scratches, but this I've also experienced in Malaga, Spain - and has no impact on the driving experience. Rented the lowest category with air condition.
