Sexual harassment from a worker
Me and wife were going to rent a car at the airport rental place and we parked in a spot where we did not know we was not suppose to park in there and a lady from Thrifty came outside at us with tremendous amount of attitude saying that we can not park there. My wife came out the car and asked the lady from thrifty what seems to be the problem. She goes off on my wife yelling at her outside rental place in the public! My wife tried to get her name but she would give it to her and she ran back to thrifty place as my wife followed her to the rental company store. As soon as she was going into thrifty a guy was holding the entrance door from letting my wife to see a manager. My wife finally forced her self into the store and started asking for the manager and non of the workers would give the managers number or even contact him!! So my wife left and the same lady that yelled at us yelled out SLUT at my wife loudly outside in the public!!!! So this is how Thrifty treats customers around the airport????!! I video taped her smirking of being accused of sexual harassment on video and I have the guy on the video who tried stoping my wife from coming into the store to file a complaint!!!
Don't Count On Emergency Service
Make sure you know how to change a flat tire in the middle of the night on a dark stretch of road with lots of mosquitos. None of the telephone numbers on the rental contact, including the emergency contact number, are actually attended. I did not find a jack in the car (not that customers should be servicing the vehicle in the first place) and had a choice between abandoning the car and walking across the island in the dark, or riding it on a flat to service station to find help. If anything goes wrong at night with your car during your rental - YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. The best part was the explanation from them the next morning - "The owner just returned from vacation and had his telephone turned off because he was tired." Oh, really? Well, I'd hate to inconvenience someone just back from vacation.
