Bald tires

I had booked a rental SUV from Sixt on October 3rd 2015 when the really bad weather was coming into town and parts of the East coast of South Carolina were flooded, such as Charleston. When I went to pick up the car, a white Nissan Rogue from Sixt, the tires were bald, I have the photos. Given the terrible weather, I knew instantly that this would be a hydroplane hazard. I brought this to the attention of the Sixt Manager, who couldn't care less, would not provide an alternative car and the only option he gave me was to pay for an upgrade. So I ended up cancelling my reservation and booked an SUV from Thrifty instead. One of the Sixt customers in line said that he never even thought about checking the tires for safety.
