Our rental location is conveniently based only a few minutes from the main terminal building and we provide a 24 hour a day free shuttle service for your convenience. On arrival at Orlando International Airport (when collecting your baggage), simply call the telephone number on your booking voucher and a member of the Green Motion Orlando team will meet you outside and take you to your car hire vehicle.
The car was fine, the service was slow. My real complaint is that I was told they would need to put a $500 hold against my credit card in case I returned the car damaged. Okay, that was fine, no problem. Instead they put a $500 sale against my credit card. I returned the car on time, 7/18, in perfect condition, with more gas than it had when I got it. I checked my credit card statement 6 days later, and the charge was still there. I called Green Motion and they told me it might take 10 days for the reversal. So I checked my card again today, and the charge was still there. I called Green Motion today, 8/8 and they insisted it was a hold, not a sale, that they reversed the hold on 7/18, and even gave me an authorization code they claimed they used. I called my credit card company, they affirmed that it was a sale and not a hold, they never received any sort of reversal, and the whole thing is going in as a dispute. Perhaps Green Motion hoped I would be too lazy to follow up on this, I don't know. But watch your credit card statement after dealing with them.

The company "Green Motion" (Orlando, Florida) is nothing more than a low class shady scam of a business. I would have been more enthusiastic about rating this company if I were able to rate it at less than 1 star.
People renting from this company are lured in by the cheap price, and they get what they pay for...cheap. The ONLY thing this company had going for them was the people. I would rate 5 stars for the employees working there and take away 10 stars for the management of the business.
Upon arriving at the airport, the place advertised with a shuttle service, on a 15 minute rotation to the airport... the drivers were not bad, and the wait time was ok. The location was unclear, there was no established pick up location, only a "general look for our shuttle" area. We arrived at the "OFF Airport" site (@10 minutes away) we were greeted by a friendly staff. During the inspection of the vehicle however, we found over 23 deficiencies (with photo proof) to include scraps, dents, a cigarette smell, and human fluids (I have UV & Blacklight photos as proof). We were also told, as an afterthought that our card would have a $500 "Hold charge" placed on it (on day 2 I called my bank and had it removed) Once we got to our destination we found that the registration had expired the month prior.
When we returned the car, the excuse was "we lease and rent out over 500 vehicle, sometimes they slip thru the cracks". The company made no attempt to compensate us and I had to threaten to take the vehicle off property and allow a local sheriff to impound the vehicle before they would call a manager (of which NONE were on shift or on location / @ 10:30pm) before they stated they would email me a $100 refund. As of the time of this printing, no email has been received, no call or other attempts have been made by the company to make good on their word.
My advice- rent from a drug dealer
Booked this a day before arrival after having to cancel previous car due to 24hr flight delay. Very worried due to it being 3rd July and a mad period for the Americans.
Knew it was about 5 miles outside the airport but was half price of others on site! (£110 for a mid size car for 6 days).
Had a 15 min wait for their shuttle, not too bad. 5 mins to their place off site and quick efficient service when I got there. Was offered a free upgrade .. to Mustang convertible:) Don't turn that down, even though we had 2 kids and luggage! Anyway, managed to squeeze all in. Great car and quick check in on return with no hassles. Would use them again no bother.

Arrived in Orlando....i had already prepaid for the rental van from rental cars.com I had to call them to see about a shuttle..no signs for them anywhere. We then sat for over an hour with small children waiting for a shuttle...which was Green Motion. Got to the rental place ...all I saw was upset people...i now know why. Like I said our van had been paid for already ...so I thought it would be quick and easy. 3 hours later...chasing my 5 small children around a parking lot waiting for a van they didn't even have. First they told us we would be charged 500 if we used our own insurance...complete scam. Never did it say that anywhere. All staff was so rude ..the lady who was helping us just disappeared for an hour...i kept asking how much longer..nobody would respond. Finally they said well we have to find a car. Then they say we will give you a luxury car instead...i reminded them I have 5 kids..got a van for a reason. Then 2 hours later they brought me a small suv....we couldn't even fit the stroller in and the back seat was broken...wouldn't even go down. After 3 hours and me getting very upset a guy who worked outside gave us a beat up 12 passenger van...that was on empty..and dirty. Every worker there was so rude...when I explained why I was upset they told me I was rude...worst experience ever. Complete scam..do not go there. When we returned the car ....same scernio...people so upset..people leaving ...they guy this morning said he had been there for 4 hours.
This company is a scam. They would not take my insurance (even though Thrifty did the very next day at the same airport), and when I attempted to return the car after less than 24 hours, they STILL charged me for the insurance on the remaining 3 days I didn't have the car. That in addition to charging rental for those extra days. My "single day" use of the car wound up costing 150% MORE than if I had the car for the entire 4 days for the price they agreed to in the up-front pricing I agreed to online. They sent me an apology, explaining that they had resolved the issue by refunding my insurance for the days after I returned the car, but they still charged me rental for all four days, as well as the insurance for the day I had the car and didn't need it. They didn't apologize for having a check-in process that takes more than an hour. Or for being the only car rental agency in Orlando that requires you to carry your ENTIRE insurance policy in order to rent a car. DO NOT RENT FROM GREEN MOTION. They should investigated as a scam.
AVOID! AVOID! We rented a car from Greenmotion through Rentalcars.com at Orlando and had a horrible experience. First we had to wait for more than one hour to get our car then the tire had low air pressure so they had pump air in it. That still didn't work because throughout of trip low pressure alarm was on. However the biggest FRAUD that the company is guilty of is Insurance. They have a scam going. They ask you to produce copy of your Auto Insurance (who carries copy of their auto insurance). If you can't then you have to pay exorbitant insurance ($25.99) per day. Booking agreement does not specifically say you have to produce copy of your Insurance, if you want to decline. I called Greenmotion to resolve this issue and they hung up on me twice. I called Rentalcars.com and they said it is in the fine print. They seem to be colluding with Greenmotion. They are both owned by Priceline. So beware of GREENMOTION and also RENTALCARS.com and by association all Priceline Companies.
Avoid at all costs. $500 security deposit charged to your card at pick up. All sorts of upselling at the pick up counter. $50 charge for a $1.95 missed toll. Never will use!!!
I arrived after midnight and waited for the shuttle. The shuttle driver was very friendly, but failed to mention there were no rental cars!!! After driving 15 min there I got out, stood in line, and was told they had no cars. I had prepaid for my full trip. I was then told they could not give my my money back. I had to go back to the airport where almost all of the rental companies were out of cars. I ended up having to pay $400 for two days from dollar.
After booking a Nissan Altima for what I thought was a great deal of $110, I read a long series of negative reviews on this Green Motion location. Fortunately, after returning the vehicle this morning I have only positive feedback. We waited no more than 5 to 10 minutes for the van to arrive at the airport and about 15 minutes max to get waited on at the off-site rental location due to 3 groups in front of us. The manager even jumped in to become a third attendant to move the line along faster. The office was clean and the staff helpful. They even offered the four of us complimentary drinks while we waited the 2 minutes to bring the car up. If you can get one, bring your own SunPass, Florida does not use the EZPass System prevalent throughout the Northeast and Midwest US. Regarding the return experience, the office was crowd with a steady line of returns at 5 am on a Saturday and we just missed two shuttles as we pulled into the location which resulted in about a 15 minute wait for the next one. This delay was minor compared to the wait at the Orlando Airport so be sure to give yourself at least 2 hours during peak travel times. All in all I was very pleased with Green Motion and would not hesitate to try them again in the future.
