scammed by Dollar Orlando airport
Totally Unfair Charge By Dollar
We returned our rental car at 5:30 a.m. to the Dollar Car Rental spot in the Parking garage across from the MCO terminal in Orlando. There was nobody on duty in the booth and there were no signs or a drop box to put your rental agreement and keys in. We were among several groups all wandering around the garage looking for instructions of what to do with our rental car keys. After we got our luggage over to the terminal, we returned the keys to the Dollar rental counter and were told that this was OK. We returned the car on February 12, 2016 and we were supposed to be only charged for a tank of gas. However, they charged us Cdn $419.86 because they said they had to make a new set of keys. We asked for a refund since the keys were in their possession at the rental counter inside the terminal, as there was nobody to return them to in the parking garage. The counter attendant should have notified the parking booth staff that the keys were returned to them. We are seniors on limited pensions and we enjoy going to Florida every year but with the high exchange rate, this was a very expensive trip as our Cdn $ was very low.

bait n switch tactics
This car company basically stole from me! The usual fee for a toll pass is $20 per day or sometimes for the entire rental...$8/day on Priceline.com (without insurance) turned out to be $131.00 for 4days (bloody hell) I'll never rent from Dollar again! I emailed them and never hear back from them to explain charges I have to call and talk to someone who was less than thrilled to be working the phones for them! BAIT N SWITCH IS RIGHT!!!

Don't rent Dollar!
did not accept insurance then. Said o did not want it. Had reserved on line with all price information and was charged $200 more. Once in at hotel figured out what happened. staff flat out lied and said I had to pay $29 a day for "their insurance". Looked over documents and it said I accepted. Tried to call was told I had to go to a location. Found one on google maps it no longer existed. Found one the next day. Was refunded $117 but was charged for 2 days (28 hours) of insurance I declined. Spent hours of my vacation with small children dealing with a direct lie by dollar staff. Also car we booked they were out of. Completely unprofessional.
Ripped off for being late abs we was not late
