Easy pickup from RSW. Kim checked me out. Assured me that the
scuffs on car were ok . Very friendly and kind.
Easy drop off at FLL. The gentleman who checked me out was very
friendly and offered to help me with my bags.

Stress free
I was very pleased with the ease of using Alamo at this location. The vehicle I reserved wasn't available which wasn't a problem when they let me pick out something else off the lot of higher cost for no upgrade charge. Everyone was friendly and didn't try pushing insurance on me. Although I had a receipt for refilling the gas they didn't require it. Alamo will be my rental company of choice in the future.
Perfect rental experience
Overall this was a great experience. The Alamo location is the closest to the arrivals hall, just inside the car park entrance across the street from the terminal exit with the cars also very close. We didn't have to wait at the counter for more than a couple of minutes and the staff were great.
As usual with Alamo in the US, we got to choose our car from what was available in the group we booked (which was nothing so we got to choose an intermediate - free upgrade) - we had 2 options, a silver Mazda 3 or a black Dodge Caliber. My girlfriend liked the look of the Mazda so that's what we took. We had our own GPS so didn't take the free maps or directions offered to us by Tyrone at the counter.
We checked the car inside and out for any damage before driving away. There was not a mark on it that we could find so no need to do our usual routine of taking photos and video with our phones to cover ourselves in this case.
Returning the car was just as painless. We had to return very early in the morning as our flight was at 6.30am but it couldn't have been easier. The signage was straight forward to follow and there were 2 Alamo staff there to give directions. While we got our bags out of the car and gave it a final once over to make sure we hadn't left anything, one of the guys checked everything and printed our receipt showing zero additional charges and no new damage and we were on our way in just a couple of minutes.
Really it could not have been better. 5 stars for every criteria is over the top but really I can't think of a single thing that wasn't worthy of full marks. Even the mileage - the car only had 8,500 miles on it when we picked it up. Virtually brand new. Great car and service.

Worst customer service EVER
Worst customer service. Had a medical emergency on vacation and as the registered driver, I could not drive the rental vehicle because of the medication the doctor gave me. Sat on the phone for over 45 minutes trying to get someone to help us transfer the registered driver. No one would help and wanted us to drive all the way back to the airport to physically see my moms drivers license. Emailed the manager and he basically just said "sorry there is nothing we can do." Not only did he not address my concerns, or care about my situation, but there was no concession given or even offered. So now I cannot take the medication that was prescribed to me because I have to drive the rental car back. Who knows what will happen to my health because of this.
I will NEVER rent from Alamo ever again. And I will make sure to spread the word.
had broken the ignition key and couldn't start the car. Laurie answered my call, talked to her manager, and sent a tow truck to
pick the car and me up to go back to the airport. She was very patient.
When the tow truck arrived, the driver asked for my key. He said it
wasn't broken - the key was THE REMOTE. It seemed that when I
picked up the car, the gentleman at the lot put in the key and started it up for me. I was very relieved. Thank you Laurie for
your time and attention.
