Bad company and bad attitude
Europcar UK Excessive charges for repairs
Car itself was fine but on return they claimed I had scratched car.
Charged me £250 on the spot then a further £484 was taken off my credit card, totalling £734 for a tiny scratch of no more than 2cm!!
Customer service terrible, said the charges were nothing to do with them and were decided by their 'approved repairer'.
I have raised a complaint with British vehicle rental and leasing association (BVRLA) and written to Europcar MD in the hope of a review and compensation.
Europcar can still put this right, let's see if they do!

Europcar kings cross - worst experience ever
Worst customer service experience I have ever had. I told them that a particular document that they were requesting wasn't on the the confirmation email that was sent. Their response was that I should have gone to the Europcar website and read through their requirements and because I booked through a third party it was not their responsibility. Following which I suggested that they should ask their third party adviser to clearly mention their requirements in the future as it is absolutely ridiculous to expect customers to jump from website to website to verify requirements following which I was asked to wait outside the premises as I was being disrespectful. I'm not entirely sure why any customer should have to jump from website to website and why a simple suggestion such as a company should advise their third party providers to publish information clearly should be construed so negatively. At the end of the day I was only the secondary driver and we got the car anyways but I would never rent from Europcar again. Please pay the extra 10 pounds and go somewhere else
