Flex Fuel is our new fuel system, in which unused fuel reimbursement will apply to ALL reservations. This system has many advantages: flexibility, time and money saver, it will give you access to special offers and low rates in this website and there is no need to refuel the vehicle before it is returned. The cost for Flex Fuel including the fuel tank is charged upon arrival. Fuel reimbursement will be processed at the exact moment of dropping off the vehicle. The price will depend on the fuels market value on the days before the start of the rental period, the vehicle model, the tanks capacity and the type of fuel recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. The price for a fuel tank is based on the average price for the Tuscany region found here. You can check the approximate price per car group using the links below. The total up front charge = tank capacity x price per litre + Flex Fuel service charge. Refunds will apply to the remaining fuel to the nearest 1/8th of a tank.

The meeting point is outside the Arrivals Hall. After picking up your luggage, turn left and go straight ahead until you come to the MOTTA bar. Take the exit (Departures/Partenze - Salida Central) that is opposite the bar. Once you are outside, cross the street (you'll see a pedestrian crossing). When you get to the other side, you'll see the green cross of a Pharmacy on your right. Turn right and walk straight ahead for 20 metres until you come to a car park pay station under some stairs. Wait next to the stairs for our courtesy bus to arrive. The bus will display the Parking Go and Goldcar logos.
The Client acknowledges, and expressly accepts, that Client purchase of the GOLDCAR BASIC COVER and GOLDCAR ADDITIONAL COVER products does not entirely exempt the Client from responsibility in the event that the vehicle and/or any accessory thereof is stolen, nor does it exempt the Client in the event of a fire, if these events take place in the following regions: Campania, Puglia, Sardinia, and Sicily. In this case, Client liability shall be limited to paying a penalty equal to (Basic cover/Additional Cover) - Groups AA, BB, CC, CG, R, S, X, XG = 2000.00 / 1750.00 | Groups D, DD, DG, E, F, FF, L, LL, N, T, V, VV = 3500.00 / 3000.00 | Groups G, GG, I, J, K, P, PP, H, KF, M, O, Q, SF, U = 5000.00 / 4500.00
If vehicle is returned after the 59 minute grace period, a charge of 37.00 plus an extra days rental will apply. On the other hand, if a client does not receive their car within 59 minutes of signing a rental agreement, Goldcar will compensate the client. Even in the case of a re-directed flight, if a client collects the car from a station that is different from that originally booked, an additional charge of 55.00 will apply.

Goldcar in Bergamo Airport (Milan, Italy) has drawn illegal fees from my Mastercard. They have invented a "Diesel Fee"on 12 EURO that they have taken. Also I asked to pay in EURO but they have deducted the money in DKK. Finally they charged 40 EURO from each of the 10 customers that were on a plane that was 10 minutes late. I accept there may be a fee but 400 Euro is piracy! I have contacted them several times but they have not returned the money.

Dear moped,

Regarding your comment, we understand that you have booked a Flex-fuel rate, which means you can collect your car with a full tank and return it as suits you. For that reason, this rate also includes fuel handling and administration fees. Then at your return, our agents would make a refund of the difference of fuel left.

About the late check-in fee, please note that it is stated on our Terms and Conditions ( on the section 7.6: "There is an additional local charge of € 40.00 for all vehicles collected outside office opening hours. Goldcar may request the flight number prior to the hire."

NEVER rent a car from gold car company!!!!!!!they will charge your credit card with extra costs without informing you!!!i have rent a car from gold car in rome for 14 days with full extra coverage! my contract writes '' If the vehicle receives a fine during the rental period, you will be responsible for full payment of the fine as well as a € 40.00 traffic fine management fee.'' i received two fines and they charged my credit card firstly 40 euros and after 12days again 40 euros without informing me!!!! i asked them to help me with the payment of the fine but they couldnt!!! if they could not help me how to pay the fines why they are receiving 40 euros management fee??????they dont have professional behavior !!!they are THIEVES!! they have my credit card number and they steal money whenever they want!!!!
