Thank you Shlomo Sixt!!!

I have been to many rental car companies in Israel throughout the years, as an avid traveller, it's part of the deal! Never used Shlomo Sixt and my Jerusalem (Yerushalmi u say?) friend suggested I will. He was right, they were plain awesome and their rate was dirt cheap compare to others I checked. Staff was helpful, car felt new, and price like I said was great. Good job Shlomo Sixt, i will be back!

Avoid booking a rental car at Shlomo Sixt

Sadly, the feedback regarding Shlomo Sixt is almost uniformly negative and the volume of complaints against Shlomo Sixt indicates the poor quality and costumer satisfaction.

The willingness of employees to solve problems does not exist. Suggestions of the customer are not considered. Suggestions of employees are not made, as they do not seem to have the authority to make decisions on their own and/or are not sufficiently qualified to do so. This leads to endless discussions between customer and employees that leads to nothing, as the employee is suddenly "tired" of talking to the customer and/or becomes extremely rude.

I have had this experience in the Jerusalem office unfortunately and it took me about 5 hours (on two consecutive days)...

So avoid booking a rental car at Shlomo Sixt.

No Problems With Car But Very Long Wait Time

While I had no problems with the car itself, there was a 2 hour wait because there was only 1 clerk on duty and because they ran out of cars , despite my reservation, and had to wait for more to arrive from Tel Aviv. This could have been prevented by proper staffing and planning given that this was during a popular holiday season yet they claimed they could not have anticipated additional demand. When I returned the car the next day, I found another customer complaining about a similar experience that day. I do give them credit for not raising prices during the holiday as some other car agencies did.

Worst Rental Place

WORST rental place in Jerusalem, and I have rented many many times. Service was horrible, attitude despicable. after all hidden costs were added up this place was more expensive than any other rental company, the service upon return was so bad. there was a line up of upset customers. never going back here or recommending to anyone.

Terrible Customer Service and A Potential Scam

I recently rented a car with this company and I was very disappointed by the service I received when I returned the car.  The attendant charged me for a deflated tire and said there was a nail in the tire - he was very rude about it as well.  The "attention" light had come on the car about 5 minutes after I started driving the car and I assumed it was okay since they had told me they had checked the car out before I started driving.  This means that this nail was most likely already in the tire when I first received the car and the tire had just been inflated right before I picked it up so that the "attention" light wouldn't show up when they evaluated the car.  I believe that this a scam that the company is running to charge people extra fees for the supposed damaged tires.  If you want to charge customer's extra for deflated tires due to nails, you need to inspect each tire fully with the customer present to ensure the nail is not already in the tire.
