Disappointed. I just PCS’d in from England and I don’t usually write reviews but wanted to warn others to ensure they read every bit of the rental agreement before signing for a car at budget. While in England I reserved a truck online for 10 days at $312 for me my family and all our luggage. When I arrived I was offered an upgrade to a spacious denali because they had one ready at a cost of 40 additional dollars for a TOTAL of $352 for 10 days. We were given this number and told multiple times that the TOTAL was $352. After turning it in today I find we were charged $40 additional a day for a total of $400 for 10 days which equals $860.39 nearly 3 times the amount I wanted to pay for a rental. At no point did this number come up nor did an additional $400 come up. She simply said the total for the 10 day rental would be $352 she pointed on the lines to sign and we signed unaware we were about to pay for a very hefty rental agreement. Looking at the contract you would usually sign next to those areas but it seems they were put in digitally and only say (agreed). After receiving this bill I immediately called customer service to no avail. They told me to call Tampa international to speak to them directly but having called again they did not answer and I was referred to another budget representative who told me to just keep trying that number. Please if you are coming in from another base do not just sign based upon any oral agreement no matter what was spoken to you. Read and ask them to show you on your agreement your estimated total charges on top of the total amount and what you will absolutely pay at the end of your rental.
